Oh Me, Oh My, Dinosaurs have come to Allen. This is no joke. There are seriously hundreds of life size dinosaurs and ginormous insects right here waiting to be discovered. Not just your average T-Rex and triceratops... No, you'll find a huge Gigantasaurus, a Diabloceratops, the head of a Megalodon, a giant ladybug, a huge praying mantis, and SOOOO MUCH MORE. Words cannot express the enormity of these creatures.
This week my family and I were treated to an amazing tour of The Dinosaur Company facility. It was a casual stroll through the exhibit, and it was not at all what we expected. We had driven by this building numerous times and thought the dinosaur pictures on the outside looked interesting, but really didn't think much of it. Boy, were we surprised! Once we got through the main lobby, we entered into this fantastic new world of animatronic creatures. They were HUGE. Our tour guide, Shante, did a great job explaining everything and going over the displays. She knew the dinosaur's names and a lot of information about them like where they are from, the foods they ate, and how they were built. She was so patient with my son's (and husband's) 1 million questions and even did a demonstration for us about how they make the skin of the dinosaurs look realistic. Did I say it was amazing... because it was!
